All areas of the church facility are fully accessible to those with differing abilities.  Assisted Listening devices are available at the sound booth (and are sanitized after each use).  There is an elevator located in the Family Life Center. What should I wear to church?

Please wear whatever is comfortable for you. Blue jeans and shorts are okay, as are jackets and dresses - see photos and videos on our social media pages.

What does the church believe?

The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. The way that St. Barnabas United Methodist Church wants to do that is by helping people connect with God, with each other and with the world. For more information about our beliefs, please contact one of our pastors who can answer any of your questions.

Children

What if I’m coming with kids?

If you are coming with babies, toddlers or elementary children, you can certainly bring them to worship with you. We love having kids in worship! If your child is restless, you can use the lobby where toddlers can play while parents can still experience the worship gathering on a TV.  Complimentary nursery care for children ages birth-2 years is offered all morning. Changing tables are provided in locations throughout the church facility.  To find out more about what St. Barnabas United Methodist offers for elementary age children, please visit our page about Children’s Ministries.

First Time Attender

What can I expect?

We understand that visiting a new church can be intimidating and want to help calm those nerves. Here's what you can expect if coming in person on a Sunday morning:  You don't need to worry about any embarrassing moment when we ask all the new people to stand up and introduce themselves. That won't happen!  If you wish, you can complete a connect card and place it in the offering plate. One of our pastors will contact you and see if there are ways you can connect with our church.  Our Connect desk in the lobby is also a place to ask any questions you might have -- we are here to help!
