youth ministry

St. Barnabas Youth Ministry is a welcoming community for all students in 7th-12 grade, no matter where they are on their faith journey. We know that the junior high and high schools years are a time where students are most in need of kindness and community and someone to walk alongside them as they grow. Our Youth Ministry provides just that, connecting students with one another, as well as with leaders who want to support them. We are committed to finding a place of belonging for every student. Through weekly, large-group programs, small groups, weekend retreats, service opportunities, mission trips and so much more, we offer a pathway for students to be transformed by God. It is our hope to equip the student and family to continue the journey together of becoming deeply committed followers of Christ.

For more information, contact Kaitlyn Wilson, Director of Youth Discipleship. Parents are also encouraged to sign-up for our weekly Youth Discipleship Enewsletter.

All of our volunteers working with our children and youth have undergone background checks and are MinistrySafe approved.

Every year, the youth program has a youth-led leadership team called SALT (Servant and Leadership Team). SALT meets once a month and helps Kaitlyn plan all of our events like Cornerstone, game nights, Super Bowl, cake baking, and mission opportunities. SALT is available for anyone in the youth group, 7th-12th grade. We welcome all new ideas for events and anyone can apply. Applications are due August 29 by the end of youth.
