Our Music Ministry focuses on providing uplifting and inspiring music during all of our Sunday services. Whether young or old, experienced or beginner, if you love music, there is a place for you to serve at St. Barnabas. 


The Chancel Choir rehearses each Wednesday from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This choir for adults sings each week in worship at 11:00 a.m. The choir sings music in a variety of styles and presents three concerts per year with orchestra. Director: Mark Husband


Our children's choirs are embedded into our Midweek programming, Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m., during the school year.
  • The Cherub's / EEC Choir is for children in Pre-K to 1st grade (must be potty trained). This choir is an introduction to music and singing with movement, musical games, pitch recognition and other creative activities. The choir will sing approximately three times during the year. Director: Alyssa Lawther
  • The Elementary Choir is for children in 2nd to 6th grade.  Songs and activities teach Christian concepts and Bible verses. Musical games and rhythm instruments are also included. Director: Robin Husband


Revelation Ringers is an advanced handbell choir for adults. The bell choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 6:15-7:15 p.m. and rings one Sunday per month and in special services and concerts throughout the year. The choir rings a five-octave set of Malmark bells and a four-octave set of hand chimes. Director: Tracy Loftin.


These talented musicians and vocalists are there for one thing: to glorify God through great music. This very electric  band leads the Encounter worship service with an eclectic mix of self-arranged hymns, classic rock, contemporary Christian music, classical, current pop, jazz, country and anything else that may pertain to the message of the day. The band is always looking for new musicians and vocalists to be part of a special group who are eager to share their talents with the world. Rehearsals are Sundays at 8:00 a.m. 


These talented musicians and vocalists are there for one  thing: to glorify God through great music. This ensemble consists of piano, acoustic guitar, acoustic bass, ukulele, handbells, percussion and intimate vocals at its core. The group leads the Traditional Unplugged worship service with an eclectic mix of self-arranged hymns, southern gospel, classical, jazz and contemporary Christian music. The

ensemble has a nice, chill, unplugged acoustic sound. Each  week features different various instruments like cello, violin, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, melodica and harmonica accompanying the core ensemble.
