Rev. Brad Brittain

Brad answered his call to ministry in 1998 and enrolled in Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth (Master of Divinity 2001) and has served churches in the CTC since April of 2000 – Alliance UMC (2000-01, associate pastor), FUMC Dawson/Tehuacana UMC (2001-06, pastor), FUMC Mexia (2006-11, pastor) and most recently, Central UMC, Waco (2011-present, pastor). Rev Brittain recently held the position as District Superintendent (DS) for the South District of the Central Texas Conference before accepting the senior pastor role here at St. Barnabas.


Brad was born in Baton Rouge, LA and grew up in DFW area family that was very active in various church communities.  His father was a chaplain at Buckner Children’s Home in Dallas and later became a United Methodist pastor in the Central Texas Conference.  He and his wife Alisha have two boys, Ben (15 – high school sophomore) and Andrew (12 – Seventh Grade).  Alisha has taught school for many years and currently educates third graders at Lorena Elementary School.  The Brittain family enjoys sports, the outdoors, exercise, church activities, travel and spending time with friends.
