Adult Sunday School
Saint Barnabas currently hosts seven adult Sunday School Classes where adult visitors and members can grow in their maturity, knowledge and faith.
All are on Sunday mornings, at 9:30 a.m., meeting locations are noted below.
BUILDERS, Education Extension, E-210
This class has a teacher-facilitated discussion format. It was formed in the Spring of 2003. Their studies alternate between Bible study, discipleship/spirituality issues, and life issues. Members of this class help to facilitate the lessons.
CROSSROADS, Family Life Center, F-220
This class is for young adults who are 18-25 years old. It was formed in the Spring of 2003. Singles and couples are both welcome. This class uses their own life experiences as well as video media to examine biblical texts in new ways.
FOOTSTEPS, Education Extension, E-216
Mid 20's through 30's couples and singles, primarily with young children are walking together on the path of discovery to learn how to live out their relationship with God and their familes within the secular world. Enjoy Bible based studies, lively discussion and experience sharing with this energetic group. On a regular basis, the class holds social gatherings for the entire family.

Our mission statement of Lighthouse, SBUMC Singles Ministry, is to be a beacon of God's light in our church and community by encouraging discipleship of Jesus Christ through spiritual growth, fellowship, and mission opportunities.
METAMORPHOSIS, Family Life Center, F-209
This is a class for those who want to:

This class is made up of men and women, couples and singles. The class was formed in the Fall of 2005.
SEEKERS, Education Extension, E-215
This class has been around as long as St. Barnabas itself. Weldon Lotspeich has been the discussion leader for over 22 years. Members range in age from 30 something to 80 something. The discussions tend to be lively, as the members are not shy about sharing their opinions. The class is currently studying the adult international lesson series. All are welcome to this active and friendly class.
SOJOURNERS - Family Life Center (round table near the kitchen)
You will find a seat waiting for you amongst the Sojourners. This group is about sharing God's love through daily life experiences in a relaxed and casual roundtable format.
THEOPHILITES, Family Life Center, F-211
Their Geek class name professes that they are, “lovers of God”. Jeff Holler leads this lecture/discussion style class. As “lovers of God”, they are also lovers of their brothers and sisters in Christ. You will find them to be a caring support group. They look forward to your visit.
WESLEYAN, Family Life Center, F-213
The topics of discussion are as varied as the members of this contemporary class. In the past they have studied books by the scholars of the Jesus Seminars such as “Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time”. At other times this class has covered topics including the crusades, the history of Christianity, and Jesus movies. If you have a questioning mind, this class is for you. They look forward to having you visit this lecture/discussion class.
