Children are Welcome! 

At St. Barnabas United Methodist Church, children are welcomed and involved in our worship services. We invite you to come and be part of a vibrant children's program which extends out of the Sunday School classes to include the worship service, children's choirs, and more.

 

At the entrance to the worship areas in our church, children can find clipboards which contain activities such as word searches, coloring pages, etc. which are centered around a Bible story lesson.

Children's Time is presented to the children in attendance at the 10:50 worship service every Sunday except for Communion Sundays which are the first Sunday of each month. Children are invited forward to talk to the minister and have a special worship message specifically geared to them.

Upon the conclusion of Children's Time, children (kindergarten through second grade) attending the 10:50 worship service are invited to go to Children's Chapel which is held every Sunday during the school year except for Communion Sundays and during the summer months.

Children's Chapel provides our children an opportunity to learn about the worship service so that our kids can fully participate in the worship experience. During Chapel, the children are taught the Lord's Prayer, the Doxology, the Gloria Patri, and other responsive readings/songs that we use during the worship experience. Additionally, they learn a new Bible story each week and learn Scriptures through song.
